Going on a date with Caldwell

Caldwell Luc that is. I'll be getting this surgery in a few weeks. I saw my ENT doc on Tuesday, and he wants to do the surgery before I finish this round of IV's. I should be getting the surgery date in the coming days. I am SO not looking forward to this. My previous sinus surgeries were much easier, and the recovery time was a lot less than it is with the Caldwell Luc procedure. I would be eager to hear from any of you CFers who have had this done.

Desensitization was successful! It lasted for about 5 hours yesterday, and I was discharged about 6:45 last night. We made it home safely, and Jason went into work last night for a few hours.

I am going to be catching up on my photography class today. I am enjoying it, although we are just learning the basics right now. I still haven't finished last Friday's class, and I have to do yesterday's class too. I also need to catch up in the blogging world. I have so many blogs to catch up on!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Wow! What a journey you've been through! You look awesome (would never guess you were 38!!!)
Praying for this next surgery to be a success and your recovery to be quick!

That does not sound like a very fun date! I will be praying that it goes smoothly. I haven't even heard of this procedure. Last time around they fixed my deviated septum, and I had an incision inside my nose...oww. But, it's nothing compared to one in your mouth. Hopefully, looking forward, it will help.

I'm glad the desensitization went well, Christy, and that you are home.

I've had 3 sinus surgeries, but never that type. I don't blame you for not looking forward to it!

You are amazing, simply amazing. Looks like you'll be the one describing this procedure. I'm definitely interested in how it differs from the others.

I'll be praying the surgery will go fine and won't be too big of a deal for you. I've only had sinus surgery once (2 summer's ago)...not sure what kind of procedure it was? But it was a piece of cake and I had no pain at all. I know my ENT broke some bones and removed them..and fixed my deviated septum...my sinuses were 99% blocked...but I do know they did it laproscopically through my nose. I know you will do great..you always do!

Glad the desensitization went well.....Can't wait to see those photo projects. One of my first photo "projects" well it was a 2fer: Illusion of Depth and Depth of Field. No explanation, Now go! that was it. I did something involving a Troll doll a bench and a phone booth. my critique: "It is so bad, it's good"-PASS.....Phew!

Hey Christy, I hope teh IV's are going well. Tell me about how you use TOBI for the sinus rinse. I have a big 32 oz. neilmed bottle that I put to of their premixed salt solution in. I wonder if I could just put the whole vial of tobi in there and use it when I flush? I am just curious how you use it. Do you go on a month/off a month??

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I have some backstock of TOBI, so i'll try it twice a day and see if I get any relief.

THANKS!
