Q & A

Following along in other blogger's footsteps, I thought I'd do a Q & A. So ask me anything! You can comment or email me.

I do allow anonymous posting now for those of you not wanting to set up a google account. I hope I don't regret it. Hee Hee!

Hi Christy!

Wondering...

I've noticed that you have met up with some post-tx'ers w/ CF and CF'ers.. What has your doc told you about contact precautions? I haven't really asked my doc, but do you know if it's less of a concern post tx?

I may think of more, but this is what I thought of off hand!

Hello Christy

I was happy to read that your pain
is getting better. It takes time..

I found that the more I did the less
pain I had. But thats just hard headed me. My Docs didn't care for
my idea so much..

Hiya, Christy. Here's my question: Is Jason EVER serious?!?! Do you have to do what I do and tell him it's a serious conversation so he won't start with the joking? :)

But seriously :), how many surgeries in total have you had done - sinus, lung, kidney, etc.?

Just call me CCC (Christy's Copy Cat)

I may have to do this post one day too :)

Well I can't really think of anything well actually you said you are still a licensed RN... How often do you have to renew your license and if you aren't ever going to go back to the medical field why do you renew it?

if I think of anything else I will let you know!

Ooh, ooh, I have a question! How much (if at all) is your CF team still involved in your care? I know that post-tx you have a tx pulmonologist, but are you still seen in the regular CF clinic? I just ask b/c I'm worried about losing my CF doc post-tx...I love her and don't want to give her up as my primary doc! Anyway, would love to hear your experience and./or thoughts on this.

Thanks! This post is a great idea!

I noticed your profile says that you weren't diagnosed with CF until age 4? What were the signs/symptoms? My son has had the sweat test come back negative (at 8 weeks old) but sometimes his pulm still brings up CF (although since he gained weight this past appt. she's happy for now)
