Pain, swelling and such

We got home last night around 10:30. I was feeling so good yesterday, but this morning, I feel like my face has been run over by a mack truck... ok not that bad, but the trauma is definitely catching up to me.

My cheeks are very swollen today, and my head is throbbing. They only gave me 25 pain pills to come home with, so I'm using them VERY sparingly. There was blood all over my pretty cream colored sheets this morning. And if that wasn't enough, I've gained 7 pounds of fluid since Tuesday. I'm assuming this is normal after surgery. I do hope my kidney function gets better and I start getting rid of this fluid soon. It's weird how I always seem to be feeling good immediately after surgery and then bam.. it hits me a day or two later. Maybe all the good stuff they gave me during surgery just wears off.

I'm going to be resting today and trying not to move my mouth too much. (lucky for Jason.. haha) I think yesterday I was thinking that this sinus surgery was actually EASIER than my previous ones, but I definitely don't think so now. I'm sure the swelling and pain will start to lessen soon though. Patience, patience, patience.

This is so cute, both our Jason's get a break from our mouths today. LOL LOL...The Doc didn't need to be greedy with the amount of pills they gave you dag...I can't imagine how it feels. Hang in there and get some rest. Love you!

Sounds horrible! I've always been told that the day of and day after surgery isn't that bad because of the surgery meds/anesthesia still in. Then the 2nd day after things kick in. So you're on schedule.

I hope the pain lets up soon, Christy! And hope your kidneys shape up! You don't need that!

I'm sorry! I hope you are feeling better, maybe they can give you some more pain meds. Girl i'd be on them every 4 hours lol. I always have that issue after surgery, first day or two isnt' bad, then BAM. That huge dose of steriods probably had you on a high. Hang in there.

Ouuuuch (in my best E.T. voice)

What is with these docs and their stingy scripts you don't exactly look like a "drug seeker". Jeez you had your poor little face manhandled.

Well, this post was from Friday. I hope the swelling and pain has decreased. I don't get why doct would take pain meds away when you're still in pain! Dugh. That's very annoying.

I hope you're feeling better today ~

I'm playing catchup with blogs once again (I hate this trend), and I'm so sorry that you're not feeling well. I'm hoping by the time I write this that you are better. I want some ease for you for a while!
